Today I’m doing something I don’t usually do. I’m eating like a “normal” person. Sort of.
Usually I have two meals on running days. Today, however, a combination of leftovers and insufficient time for a full breakfast has led me to break with my usual pattern (just as I did a few days ago when I ran routes that weren’t multiples of 8 or 5.)
Back when I was focused on losing weight, I tried to have many smaller meals each day. Runs that take up most of the morning make that a little impractical; I don’t really want to eat four times in 6-8 hours. Even fitting in three meals has always been a little tricky.
But today I’m trying it. We’ll see how it goes. If it works well, maybe I’ll change my ways.
